Fundraise for Us

The COVID-19 pandemic has radically altered people’s ability to take part in activities like the London Marathon and challenge events. However, there are many ways you can fundraise for WLF safely from home. Here are a few of them, remembering that, whatever you decide, please follow the latest government advice and do it safely.

Tools you’ll need for home fundraising

  • Set up a JustGiving page so people can donate or sponsor your activity
  • Use Facebook or YouTube to live stream your events
  • Use Zoom, Houseparty or Skype for activities where you want lots of people to join in by video
  • For direct donations, use our Donation page

Ideas for Online Fundraising Events

Even if you can’t get together in person, you can still run fundraising events from the comfort of your own home. Here are just some ideas you can try:

Host a virtual Bake-Off

Organise a virtual dinner party

Create a virtual band or choir

and ask friends and family to donate to watch your online performance

Run a virtual pub quiz

Put your gaming skills to the ultimate test

with a gaming marathon

Other Ways To Fundraise From Home

The Big Clear-Out

Use your extra time at home to have a clear-out. Put your best items on eBay and donate your proceeds to help fund our research.

Give in Celebration

If you're having a birthday, wedding anniversary or other celebration, ask people to make a donation rather than sending a gift. They could even donate the money they’re saving by not travelling to see you in person.

Donate What You've Saved

Pass on the savings you might be making by not travelling to work or buying your morning coffee.

Take on an Individual Challenge

Try a run, cycle or walk from home and ask your friends, colleagues and family to sponsor you.
